As Library Director of Gilmer Public Library, Lisa oversees the library web site, social media, and creative programs. She posts creative writing prompts on the library’s Facebook page every morning, and she leads the library Writer’s Group once a month.

In addition, Lisa is the voice of the menu options for the library’s Dial-A-Story program, a phone-in story service available by calling 304-873-5400. She also reads her own essays to offer in the seasonally-changed menu of audio options. The full menu of Dial-A-Story options is listed on the library website here.

Lisa offers journaling and writing classes and programs for the library’s Summer Learning Program and leads adult classes for creative play. She also coordinates and plans the library’s special events such as RetroFest, the annual Christmas Craft Show, Story Hikes, and more.

Gilmer Public Library programs are all free to the public, including yoga class, classes, activities, and festivals. The library is funded with grants from the WV Library Commission, Gilmer County Levy Funds, the City of Glenville, Friends of the Library, Inc., and private donations.

GPL is open 6 days a week, M-F 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturdays 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Visit the library web site or Facebook page for updates on offerings and events.
