Lisa is an award-winning West Virginia writer recognized by the West Virginia Press Association and by West Virginia Writers, Inc. Her creative essays have appeared in GreenPrints Magazine, Wonderful West Virginia Magazine, The Charleston Anvil, The Trillium, DoveTales, and other publications.
During graduate school, Lisa studied the use of imagination in creative nonfiction and the use of such to develop reader empathy. Since graduating, Lisa published several collections of her work from her years as a newspaper and magazine columnist in central West Virginia. She also released a mini-book of essays focused on empathy, and three books relating to spiritual exploration.
Lisa currently serves as a community columnist, writing essays regularly for The Glenville Democrat/Pathfinder, and The Hur Herald. Links to works published in online journals and magazines are listed below.
